Farm Credit East's Food Access Infrastructure Initiative provides grants of up to $50,000 to non-profit organizations as they work to improve food security in the Northeast. Grant funds must be used for capital projects to improve infrastructure, including real estate improvements. This doesn't include vehicles, food production or processing equipment. Grants should not be used for general operating funds.
If your organization, or one you know, has an upcoming infrastructure project to further food access, apply for a Food Access Infrastructure Initiative grant. Organizations must be located within Farm Credit East's territory (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont). Awards will be made at the sole discretion of the selection committee.
